The Craxford Snelling Workshop is now a limited company (Craxford Snelling Workshop LTD).

Started the relief in clay, depth is 3mm, set on some dividers so I can check constantly (all my rulers are in inches). Started by building up layers but Tom Merrett quickly recommend I remove outside material instead to bring everything to level and save time. I did this and moved onto modelling the figure fairly quick. Tom said to get all of him at the level of the right hand shoulder before moving onto the next step of the model. Similar to drawing and carving practice.

For the undulating leaf, I carried on working the volumes, however to save time I didn’t cut the outside of the leaf first and worked the movement into the whole block. Leaving less stone to cut off when I define the leaves.

Might try making my own tungsten claw out of a flat as my firesharp is great but struggles with this Portland.
