Calligraphy today, woke up early to practice before I got in

First draft I completed at around 7:30.
Ran out of room sadly.

Spent much of the day re writing these lines from the song ‘Bella Ciao’, an old communist folk song from Italy. The lines translate as;

‘This is the flower of the Partisan,

Dead for our freedom.’

Spent a long time working on ‘o’ forms but managed to get them worked out by the end of the day. Rushed the last draft and stupidly wrote ‘Libertá’ from the a so I didn’t run out of room but then destroyed the rest of the spacing as I was working from the wrong way. Wasn’t thinking.

Final piece from today plus notes from Rosella, I noticed most of my mistakes which I take hope in, just need to make sure to constantly think and use my eyes.
Calligraphy from the CPB and YCL offices in Ruskin House.
