Ruskin House Inscription
Spent today finalising the layout and spacing of the pub sign for Ruskin House, turned up late and spent far too long transferring the inscription.

Only managed to carve 2 letters to any level of finish, even these aren’t done yet, need to touch them up and check the lines.
This slate is very hard, luckily not too chippy when the chisel is fresh but after half a pass it started to pluck. Keeping the diamond block close and sharpening through half a chisels worth of tungsten seems to do the job.

Using reference images for the transcription project to protect the transfer while I carve. Wanted to start with the big letters so I have more room to correct mistakes rather than start on the small letters which will only need one pass to finish them.
