Drapery

Started with drawing today, continuing the larger study in charcoal. Still can’t seem to get into it, good thing the only drapery that interests me is found in the expressionist and soviet movements.

Started modelling after a brief lecture from Nina. Started way too small so it’s a very small model but it’ll do. Not a great day, hopefully tomorrow will be better. Spent two and a half hours on the clay today.

FotG

Spent a few hours on Kofi’s clay, not great still, lots more work to go. Mostly worked on the chest and shoulder areas to make them look more tucked.

Need to build up an armature for one of the figures.

Did a little research on artists for the performance piece. Collected a small list of works to look at and essays to read:

John Duncan – Blind Date, stress chamber and For Women Only

Hermann Nitch – Viennese Actionism

The Industrial Culture Handbook’ published by Re/search

Karen Finlay
