Lettering

Working on numbers again, carried on drawing what I worked on last night. Finished the drawings at around 11:30 and spent the rest of the morning on spacing and adjusting the ‘6’, ‘9’ & ‘8’ as they were a bit thin compared to the rest.

When something jumps out at you, don’t rush to correct. Take a moment to stop and think. What looks wrong about it? What caused the mistake in your drawing.

I managed to carve five letters by 16:00 (took around one to one and-a-half letters). Went for a cigarette before finishing the rest. Was getting into the flow.

Had to stop for a bronze pour with two letters left. Managed to finish at 18:10. Then rubbed up the stone and packed up. Very good day today, haven’t had a full day of lettering in far too long.
