The Floating One
Did a half scale drawing of both the original design and the redesign I did, to check both fit inside the stone.

Torso Modelling
Missed two days. Kim said not to try and catch up. Focus on what’s next.
Trying to keep the level of modelling the same all over. Looking at what’s right, what you can see.
Copied Kim’s drawing on Phil, onto the clay, plumb lines through the nipples. Then measured from there.
Key point in modelling the shoulder is the ‘S’ shape of the clavicle. Not a hard line we drew on when measuring points.
Lots of intuitive modelling, after the morning, I was put on a step ladder to look down over Phil and my model.

After this I spent the rest of the day looking at the chest area. Marking in sections to model, breaking down these large planes into manageable areas.
When modelling the shoulder area, be brutal when knocking back the clay. Then build back up, making sure the angle is correct, from the clavicle to the peak of the traps.

After this modelling we lined all the torsos up. With Phil, and then looked at the neck angle. Kim gave us each a small stick to indicate this angle. We then covered this in a small amount of clay before packing up.
FotG
Working on lettering for the rest of the night (aside from a little more work on the alt maquette). Spacing and sorting the ‘O’ form.
