Lettering

Lettering with Tom, carrying on work from the computer last week. Transferred onto the stone with thinners. Was very quick and easy.

Making sure lines were clearly marked on the stone then laying the mirrored print out ink side down. When this was justified and taped down you then dab the back of the paper with the thinners to reveal the letters. When you can see the inscription you then put a little pressure on to make sure the thinners separate the ink from the paper. Then rub this down to transfer onto the stone, making sure not to put too much of the thinners on. Done. Takes around 5 minutes to transfer everything on.

Then spent the rest of the day carving, finished at 03:20pm.
