The Floating One

Continued work on the top. Using a smaller air gun now, definitely preferring the Cuturi but was told to learn how to use the trigger hammers to save my hands in the long run. Will save the Cuturi’s for roughing out and tooling. Will continue figuring out what works best for me.

Mostly free carving around the shoulders but moving back onto working points to give me guidance.

Carving was alright today, top of shoulders are almost in, folds looking better. Still to be more confident, hopefully that will come tomorrow. Got the pitch of the head in at the end so May work on that tomorrow to help get shoulders in.

Worked on Solidarity maquette until 19:00 to try and convince teachers that I’ll be able to finish it. Want to start Phil in the evenings when I can’t use the cutting room which should cut down on time.
