The Floating One

Working on the scoops on the drapery, nice to be back in cutting room. Using large bullnoses to rough out the flow of the folds.

Fairly good day, just this small amount of work has helped me see where I’m going and errors in my carving so far. Also makes the form much lighter, so as I work these the angel should start to look much less blocky. Overall good day and looking forward to this next 2 week block working on this.

Only a short bit of carving today but felt highly focused and managed to make a bit of progress, I’m happy taking this slowly, in the evenings and Saturdays, as I focus on the angel when the cutting room is open. I think I’ll make a lot of progress when I have the full days dedicated to him.
