The Floating One

Continued on the underside, working across the whole piece. Made good progress (in my head even if not much on the actual stone), sections are getting finished, drapery around the hands are close to finished, sleeves are done and the dollying of the drapery on the underside is finished. Used a grinder to trim the back off before working on the feet to finish the day.

Bust of Shakespeare

I’m focusing on getting as many points as possible as I want to get the pointing machine off next week. I’m doing as Corin advised and using a die grinder (bit) to find the points before using a screw to scratch in the final point. Will do this all over as much as I can before taking it off and carving it from wherever I get. Making good progress, still only working after cutting room closes.
