Kofi’s Relief Set up back board, attaching chicken wire and plastic, and laid the bed of clay. Used Emma’s technique of rolling clay out between two bits of wood to get a perfectly flat and level background.

100 Names Continued adding names, will be finished soon then will send final list to get it proofread. Interesting reading the lives of these people over the last one hundred years.

FotG Started late (10:30) and had to stop by 12:30 due to the heat. Bad day’s work but caught up in the evening. Finished all the letters by the end of the day, will set them up to fix and take some rubbings to check everything.

Portait Modelling First day of the two weeks, spent the morning setting up armature and studio space, was nice being back in the studio. FotG Continued cutting letters, only worked from 4pm to 7pm as I spent most of the day ripping records. The Rising One Continued working on the internal structure of the model, taking advice from what I saw Ivan doing. Modelling the female figure before modelling the drapery.

The Rising One Started a larger maquette for final year piece, only spent a few hours on it but build the armature and some of the basic forms, fine for a Sunday.

St John the Baptist Church Finished laying steps yesterday, all dried and set today. Pointed the front in and then filled in the joint behind the two large steps (like a grout).
