Rochester Cathedral Lettering
Lettering installed at Rochester, still need to be painted. Visiting over next two to three weeks to discuss different paints. Look forward to seeing them in the flesh.

Bust of Shakespeare Starting to carve more freely and merely use the points as a reference to work between rather than blindly point like I did with Phil. Feeling confident I’ll finish.

Solidarity Back on the easel, much easier to see the letters. I think I’m used to cutting the letters at this angle so was quicker than Monday. As I worked on the outside letters I also applied a surface finish to the background as I went. Once the letters are done and the background surface…

Solidarity Continued working flat, getting the outside letters closer to the rest. By the end of the day was at a point where I need to be back on the easel. Hours: 6 (69 total, nice)

Solidarity Finished cutting larger plans so got it down onto 2 bankers to cut the sides with an angle grinder. Much quicker than I expected so I’m all on schedule. Still lots to cut and worry about tho so won’t be getting complacent. Hours: 3 (63 total)

Shakespeare Continuing getting points in, want the shape in by the end of the week and to cut the jaw/beard in. Solidarity Didn’t get enough done again. Almost done though.
