The Floating One Continued face. Moved onto hand tools fairly quickly. Not where I wanted it to be, still too flat. Lacked the confidence I guess to properly push it. Will leave for now and move onto drapery.

The Floating One Rich was very helpful in making me see how flat I was working. Have pushed everything back from the nose now. Before lunch break (communal lunch so only fifteen minutes for me) I pushed forehead curve back a lot. After lunch was ok, took a big chunk out of the nose by…

The Floating One Carving was better today. Good progress on head. I think. Finally starting to speed up, on track for this week. Will talk to Paul(?) tomorrow as I’m sure he’ll be able to point out mistakes. I think I’m working well but honestly very hard to tell, I need more experience. I’ll definitely…

The Floating One Worked on the shoulders. Slow again. Started shaping the head too, got to a point where I needed to get behind where the hair will be so made sense to start carving this.

The Floating One Continued work on the top. Using a smaller air gun now, definitely preferring the Cuturi but was told to learn how to use the trigger hammers to save my hands in the long run. Will save the Cuturi’s for roughing out and tooling. Will continue figuring out what works best for me.…

The Floating One Continued with the drapery scoops on her back, slow day. Still lazy. Moving back onto the shoulder and head area. Paul was helpful today and said work to where you need to, as you get one part in find where that goes. Done far too little. Need to listen to my fortune…

The Floating One Think I’m a little lost again. Moving onto head and feet. Shoulders are confusing me. Fairly good day all in all. Not working hard enough mind. Mostly used air tools to start roughing out drapery, pushed some of the top planes. Worried I went too far as I spaced the folds further…

The Floating One Still blocking out planes, went into more ‘detail’ and could no long get fit the grinder in the planes so moved onto air tools. The large orange one needs a service, worked better with some WD-40 however still not in perfect working order. Mostly used my larger Cuturi. Will work the feet…

The Floating One Working from the top of the head today, remarking lines and outer-most points. Got tips of shoulders in, working way down from head. Good day overall, blocked our feet and the head/shoulders. Although left the shoulders v full so will need pushing down. Process Emma showed me is stopping me from getting…
