Drapery Drawing
In the V&A today, drawing a monument to Thomas Croft, with his widow carved in marble.
In the AM I did multiple drawings from different angles to get a feel for the whole form and direction of the drapery in the round.
Tom showed me some more abstract drapery found in stain glass and a big tapestry. Good for my own work and prints.

After lunch settled in a nook for my sustained drawing that I’ll continue next week. No shading yet just working on the lines and form, spent a long time on the feet and load baring leg. Was mostly hidden by lots of folds so was hard to define. Diane said to concentrate on this area to give the figure substance and load.
Ruskin House
Got back to college at around 17:30 with Reuben, after going to a polish place for some vodka. Did mostly safety lines as I was a couple shots deep to carve letters well.
