Lettering – Numerals

Continuing from last time we started on non ranging numerals. Worked very fast to get the first draft done, has helped me immensely by pushing myself to be quicker. Letters now flow together and feel freer. Tom notes this set of numerals are much less high contrast which is something I have a tendency to do. Far too thick with skinny thins. Goes back to what Ieuan told me about using my eyes rather than blindly applying ‘rules’ I’ve been taught.

Went to picket line at 11:20 so didn’t get a full day. Got back at 14:30.

Only managed to get to the ‘9’ but am happy with the quality and speed I worked today.
